About

Game night is great. Let’s go above and beyond.

I’m a lifelong board gamer, convention goer, dad, teacher, and collector who loves the world of strategy gaming. I love the hobby, especially the heavier games that give you plenty to think about, but I’m not above playing a round of Animal Upon Animal with my kid. Some of my favorites include Great Western Trail, SETI, and Rising Sun, but I love most games that come in a box or on a cartridge.

But my gaming interests don’t stop at the board game table. I’m also a fan of retro video games (especially Nintendo), pinball, and the occasional role-playing game. If it involves games, creativity, or if it’s just a good excuse to explore something new, there’s a pretty good chance I’m interested.

Beyond Game Night is my creative outlet: a place to share the things I make and the ideas I’m excited about. That might mean games, tools, artwork, experiments, or something else entirely. Some projects are carefully finished and polished, while others are simply fun ideas worth exploring.

The goal is simple: to take something I already love and go a little further with it.

A hobby, shared

Beyond Game Night is a hobby project, built for the enjoyment of making some fun things, maybe some useful things, and sharing them with others who appreciate the world of games.

I hope you’ll find something here that makes you smile, sparks an idea, adds a little excitement to your next game night, or gives you a reason to come back and see what’s new.

Some things are made to be useful. Others are made simply because they’re fun to make. I think there’s room for both.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you find something you enjoy.

Let’s go beyond game night.
